Miguel Almaguer Mike Breen Biography Mike Breen is an American play-by-play sports commentator for the NBA on ABC and is the primary announcer for New York Knicks games on the MSG Network. He also calls NBA games for ESPN and was the official play-by-play announcer for New York Giants preseason games. In addition, he calls NFL regular season games for both NFL on Fox and NFL on NBC. Mike grew up in Yonkers, New York and attended St. Paul the Apostle. Later, he graduated from Salesian High School in 1979. Mike also graduated in 1983 from Fordham University. After graduation, he first worked with the Knits as a radio announcer for WFAN from 1992 to 1997, when he was promoted to television play-by-play after Marv Albert was fired following his infamous sex scandal.
